Laurel Strong's Story
Laurel Strong is from Missoula, Montana. She is ... well, it's complicated. Her schools include Sentinel High School. She later attended North Seattle CC/ UW// specilty schools,UM (Investigation, Nursing, Counseling Psychology). She works(ed) at Retired at 53.
Laurel Strong's interests include Mostly, Nature in General, Animals. Music she likes includes Heart, Classical, But I Enjoy Most. Books she likes include HATE WAR, Hate Violence, Religious. Movies she likes include JESUS CHRIST SUPPER STAR, Mamma Mia!. TV shows she likes include Boston Legal, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Two and half men.

Married a week out of highschool then waited 20 yrs to remarry a man that made me laugh. Have a great dane/siberian husky... conservitive and drive a 09 Prius though my hubby drives a red sporty car. lol ...would choose my Explorer any day. (notice i balance it out with a Pruis)
Live mostly in Olympia now but I go back to Seattle ad lib.
Love peace and quite , reading a good book (3 book clubs) and putting on a tea or entertaining a few friends , love a small picknic and just sitting in my back yard which is a acre bird watching an watching for the peep peep peep of quail or deer. Mostly a down to earth person that likes to plant edibles for nature and harvest but mostly nature and friends.
Still have my son as my Hero. He won my heart when he was born. Now a few yrs later he still does. Oh and when he turned 31 i realized i couldn't pass for 30 any more! -gez-
Love my sister Kathy whom constantly shows her unconditional love. She is still in Montana. Bless her.
Have many many grandkids from my hubby. I think at this count 25. two great greats included.
Like off beat vacations. Train travel, short drives...always start to get ready to go home after three days. Even on a cruise i start hitting the computer at three if not four days in.
One of my favorite things is rolling down the window of the car and hopping the Great Dane in. Love to see his joy and his jowls and ears flopping...Expand for more

You got it! I love the simple things in life. A smile, laughter of children, a romp with the dog fighting for his toy in play. cuddling not only with hubby but the dog when Chuckles doesn't catch us both on the bed. -he hates the dog on the bed- and just puttering around the yard planting things. when my hands and legs aren't working i have Sandra so i can point and she plants and dreams with me. Inside when i am tired I have Angie whom keeps secrets with me and keeps my house tidy. I have lots of good quality friends that i don't ask anything but to be a friend. Long time friends. Oh and a hubby that makes me smile and laugh. Just yesterday he told me he liked my smile. He even said i smiled when i stole his pillow at night. -i do that as i know he is dumb enough to lift his head when i ask him to- he he
Guess i keep a cup half full and enjoy even the smallest things in life like when you turn over a leaf you look close and you can see a whole new world under that little leaf. Or you look outside and keep still and you can see unique things. dust in the air. all the colors of the birds and maybe a quail and its family scoot down the side of the yard. a wild turkey or pheasant or just people all caught up in their drudge of life. . I make friends with the dog walkers and people stop to say hi and to wave. The rain comes and then a flash of sun. Life is so fun and interesting.
Then i might be ready for the funny farm in some folks eyes eh?
Husband left for Heaven May 26the 2012.
I know he would want me to go on. Knew him well and that is one thing i knew. Just last week i put his ashes to rest At fort Warin by the Lighthouse under a blue moon. it was a peaceful place and i know he would like it. Next yr i will seal his urn into a time capsol. Chuck was a good man.
Now i have bought a scooter and taking little trips mt st helen and into the cone with a chopper, kite feastable, kyacking, sq dancing and developing my spiritual growth. Seems some mental growth is in the making at this time as well. (chuckle) It is called rebounding in its finest and not fun.".
